Waimauku School

Teak Construction was successful in its bid to construct four roll growth and four redevelopment teaching spaces as part of a new two-storey eight classroom block. The new teaching space will replace the current four teaching spaces that are no longer fit for purpose conditionally.

Under our sustainability policy, Teak identifies areas in which it can avoid sending materials to landfills if they can be reused or recycled.

As part of the demolition scope, rather than demolishing the four existing classrooms, Teak contacted a local housing removal company who removed three classrooms which will be sold, and the fourth classroom will be used as the Teak site shed for the duration of the project before being removed and sold on the completion of the project.
