Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ngā Maungarongo Recladding & Remedial Works

Teak Construction was contracted to remediate three buildings at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori O Nga Maungarongo (TKK) made of steel and timber framed roof and wall construction, founded over concrete slab floor construction with perimeter strip footings. The roofs are steel framed and covered with profiled trough section metal roofing.

The project comprised recladding, roofing, and repairing the three buildings. Teak was to carry out the works in four designated stages detailed by the client. Each stage had a separate scope of works and formed separable portions of the construction contract with stage specific practical completion.

The individual school buildings were temporarily vacated during the works, and safe access around the building was maintained for the school to continue to run with as minimal disruption as possible.
